  14. evil-speakers, God-haters, insulting, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

  15. for when ye were servants of the sin, ye were free from the righteousness,

  16. that is, the children of the flesh--these are not children of God; but the children of the promise are reckoned for seed;

  17. And if God, willing to shew the wrath and to make known His power, did endure, in much long suffering, vessels of wrath fitted for destruction,

  18. Your own selves try ye, if ye are in the faith; your own selves prove ye; do ye not know your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you, if ye be not in some respect disapproved of?

  19. and I hope that ye shall know that we--we are not disapproved of;

  20. and I pray before God that ye do no evil, not that we may appear approved, but that ye may do that which is right, and we may be as disapproved;

  21. in which once ye did walk according to the age of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience,

  22. among whom also we all did walk once in the desires of our flesh, doing the wishes of the flesh and of the thoughts, and were by nature children of wrath--as also the others,

  23. that ye may become blameless and harmless, children of God, unblemished in the midst of a generation crooked and perverse, among whom ye do appear as luminaries in the world,

  24. for many walk of whom many times I told you--and now also weeping tell--the enemies of the cross of the Christ!

  25. because of which things cometh the anger of God upon the sons of the disobedience,
