¶ Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
And I will make thee swear by the LORD, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt not take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell:

Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.
¶ A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.
¶ Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.
¶ House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the LORD.
¶ Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
