  1. Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

  2. Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

  11. In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

  12. Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

  13. For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

  14. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

  15. Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

  16. Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

  17. Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

  18. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

  19. Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

  20. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

  21. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.

  22. ¶ But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,

  23. Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.

  24. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

  25. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
