  1. And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

  2. And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.

  16. For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

  17. Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

  18. That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

  19. To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

  20. ¶ Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

  21. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

  22. I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren.

  23. Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

  24. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

  25. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
