  1. And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee.

  2. I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.

  3. And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

  10. And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.

  11. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

  12. Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

  13. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.

  14. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

  15. I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

  16. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

  17. Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

  18. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

  19. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

  20. Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

  21. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

  22. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

  23. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

  24. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

  25. And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
