  1. And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

  2. For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.

  3. I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:

  4. And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.

  5. But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.

  6. For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

  7. ¶ What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?

  8. For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

  9. But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

  10. Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

  11. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

  12. Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

  13. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

  14. Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

  15. But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.

  16. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

  17. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

  18. ¶ Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia:

  19. Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

  20. ¶ Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;

  21. Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

  22. But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:

  23. ¶ For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.

  24. But as God is true, our word toward you was not yea and nay.

  25. For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.
