  1. And they that sate at table with him, began to say within themselues, Who is this that euen forgiueth sinnes?

  2. And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saued thee: goe in peace.

  7. But he willing to iustifie himselfe, said vnto Iesus, Who is then my neighbour?

  8. And Iesus answered, and saide, A certaine man went downe from Hierusalem to Iericho, and fell among theeues, and they robbed him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leauing him halfe dead.

  9. Nowe so it fell out, that there came downe a certaine Priest that same way, and when he sawe him, he passed by on the other side.

  10. And likewise also a Leuite, when he was come neere to the place, went and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.

  11. Then a certaine Samaritane, as he iourneyed, came neere vnto him, and when he sawe him, he had compassion on him,

  12. And went to him, and bound vp his wounds, and powred in oyle and wine, and put him on his owne beast, and brought him to an Inne, and made prouision for him.

  13. And on the morowe when he departed, he tooke out two pence, and gaue them to the hoste, and said vnto him, Take care of him, and whatsoeuer thou spendest more, when I come againe, I will recompense thee.

  14. Which nowe of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour vnto him that fell among the theeues?

  15. And he saide, He that shewed mercie on him. Then said Iesus vnto him, Goe, and do thou likewise.

  16. And the Lord saide to him, In deede yee Pharises make cleane the outside of the cuppe, and of the platter: but the inwarde part is full of rauening and wickednesse.

  17. Ye fooles, did not he that made that which is without, make that which is within also?

  18. Therefore, giue almes of those thinges which you haue, and beholde, all thinges shall be cleane to you.

  19. But wo be to you, Pharises: for ye tithe the mynt and the rewe, and all maner herbs, and passe ouer iudgement and the loue of God: these ought yee to haue done, and not to haue left the other vndone.

  20. Wo be to you, Pharises: for ye loue the vppermost seats in the Synagogues, and greetings in the markets.

  21. Wo be to you, Scribes and Pharises, hypocrites: for ye are as graues which appeare not, and the men that walke ouer them, perceiue not.

  22. Therefore the Pharises and Scribes murmured, saying, Hee receiueth sinners, and eateth with them.

  23. Nowe the elder brother was in the fielde, and when he came and drewe neere to the house, he heard melodie, and dauncing,

  24. And called one of his seruaunts, and asked what those things meant.

  25. And hee sayde vnto him, Thy brother is come, and thy father hath killed the fatte calfe, because he hath receiued him safe and sound.
