  1. Judge me, O LORD my God, according to thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me.

  2. Let them not say in their hearts, Ah, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up.

  3. Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me.

  4. Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

  12. If thou, O Lord, wilt mark iniquities: Lord, who shall stand it.

  13. When thy enemy shall fall, be not glad, and in his ruin let not thy heart rejoice:

  14. Lest the Lord see, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.

  15. If thy enemy be hungry, give him to eat: if he thirst, give him water to drink:

  16. For thou shalt heap hot coals upon his head, and the Lord will reward thee.

  17. You have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thy enemy.

  18. But I say to you, Love your enemies: do good to them that hate you: and pray for them that persecute and calumniate you:

  19. That you may be the children of your Father who is in heaven, who maketh his sun to rise upon the good, and bad, and raineth upon the just and the unjust.

  20. For if you love them that love you, what reward shall you have? do not even the publicans this?

  21. And if you salute your brethren only, what do you more? do not also the heathens this?

  22. Be you therefore perfect, as also your heavenly Father is perfect.

  23. But I say to you that hear: Love your enemies. Do good to them that hate you.

  24. Bless them that curse you and pray for them that calumniate you.

  25. And to him that striketh thee on the one cheek, offer also the other. And him that taketh away from thee thy cloak, forbid not to take thy coat also.
