  1. They shackled his feet with chains, and they bound him in irons;

  10. Who is like me? Let him speak out! Let him show me clearly what has been happening since I set up the eternal people; let him foretell future signs and events.

  11. Here is the word of ADONAI that came to me:

  12. "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; before you were born, I separated you for myself. I have appointed you to be a prophet to the nations."

  13. "I love you," says ADONAI. But you ask, "How do you show us your love?" ADONAI answers, "'Esav was Ya'akov's brother. Yet I loved Ya'akov

  14. but hated 'Esav. I made his mountains desolate and gave his territory to desert jackals."

  15. It was at that time that Yeshua said, "I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you concealed these things from the sophisticated and educated and revealed them to ordinary folks.

  16. Yes, Father, I thank you that it pleased you to do this.

  17. Thus the last ones will be first and the first last."

  18. He said to them, "Yes, you will drink my cup. But to sit on my right and on my left is not mine to give, it is for those for whom my Father has prepared it."

  19. for many are invited, but few are chosen."

  20. Indeed, if the length of this time had not been limited, no one would survive; but for the sake of those who have been chosen, its length will be limited.

  21. Then there will be two men in a field -- one will be taken and the other left behind.

  22. There will be two women grinding flour at the mill -- one will be taken and the other left behind.

  23. "Then the King will say to those on his right, `Come, you whom my Father has blessed, take your inheritance, the Kingdom prepared for you from the founding of the world.

  24. The Son of Man will die just as the Tanakh says he will; but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for him had he never been born!"

  25. Indeed, if God had not limited the duration of the trouble, no one would survive; but for the sake of the elect, those whom he has chosen, he has limited it.
