  1. If he marries another wife, he is not to reduce her food, clothing or marital rights.

  16. and that he said, `For this reason a man should leave his father and mother and be united with his wife, and the two are to become one flesh'?

  17. Some P'rushim came up and tried to trap him by asking him, "Does the Torah permit a man to divorce his wife?"

  18. He replied, "What did Moshe command you?"

  19. They said, "Moshe allowed a man to hand his wife a get and divorce her."

  20. But Yeshua said to them, "He wrote this commandment for you because of your hardheartedness.

  21. However, at the beginning of creation, God made them male and female.

  22. For this reason, a man should leave his father and mother and be united with his wife,

  23. and the two are to become one flesh. Thus they are no longer two, but one.

  24. A congregation leader must be above reproach, he must be faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, orderly, hospitable and able to teach.

  25. Let the shammashim each be faithful to his wife, managing his children and household well.
