  1. All have turned away, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.

  2. Do you indeed speak justly, O rulers? Do you judge uprightly, O sons of men?

  7. Why do you want more beatings? Why do you keep rebelling? Your head has a massive wound, and your whole heart is afflicted.

  8. From the sole of your foot to the top of your head, there is no soundness— only wounds and welts and festering sores neither cleansed nor bandaged nor soothed with oil.

  9. “I, the LORD, have called you for a righteous purpose, and I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and appoint you to be a covenant for the people and a light to the nations,

  10. to open the eyes of the blind, to bring prisoners out of the dungeon and those sitting in darkness out from the prison house.

  11. I will also sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your impurities and all your idols.

  12. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

  13. The hand of the LORD was upon me, and He brought me out by His Spirit and set me down in the middle of the valley, and it was full of bones.

  14. He led me all around among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, and indeed, they were very dry.

  15. Then He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones come to life?” “O Lord GOD,” I replied, “only You know.”

  16. The godly man has perished from the earth; there is no one upright among men. They all lie in wait for blood; they hunt one another with a net.

  17. Both hands are skilled at evil; the prince and the judge demand a bribe. When the powerful utters his evil desire, they all conspire together.

  18. The best of them is like a brier; the most upright is sharper than a hedge of thorns. The day for your watchmen has come, the day of your visitation. Now is the time of their confusion.

  19. You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks.

  20. The good man brings good things out of his good store of treasure, and the evil man brings evil things out of his evil store of treasure.

  21. For from within the hearts of men come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery,

  22. greed, wickedness, deceit, debauchery, envy, slander, arrogance, and foolishness.

  23. All these evils come from within, and these are what defile a man.”

  24. He was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him.

  25. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.
