  1. Therefore I say unto you, Be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raiment?

  2. Behold the birds of the heaven, that they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; and your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are not ye of much more value than they?

  3. And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit unto the measure of his life?

  4. And why are ye anxious concerning raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

  5. yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

  6. But if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

  7. Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

  8. For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

  9. But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

  10. The good man out of his good treasure bringeth forth good things: and the evil man out of his evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

  11. For whosoever shall do the will of my Father who is in heaven, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.

  12. But when the king came in to behold the guests, he saw there a man who had not on a wedding-garment:

  13. and he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding-garment? And he was speechless.

  14. Then the king said to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and cast him out into the outer darkness; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

  15. For many are called, but few chosen.

  16. that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of Abel the righteous unto the blood of Zachariah son of Barachiah, whom ye slew between the sanctuary and the altar.

  17. And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads,

  18. and saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself: if thou art the Son of God, come down from the cross.

  19. In like manner also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,

  20. He saved others; himself he cannot save. He is the King of Israel; let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe on him.

  21. He trusteth on God; let him deliver him now, if he desireth him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

  22. And the robbers also that were crucified with him cast upon him the same reproach.

  23. And he answereth them, and saith, Who is my mother and my brethren?

  24. And looking round on them that sat round about him, he saith, Behold, my mother and my brethren!

  25. For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
