  1. And he believed in Jehovah; and he reckoned it to him for righteousness.

  2. That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked, that so the righteous should be as the wicked; that be far from thee: shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

  14. He prayeth unto God, and he is favorable unto him, So that he seeth his face with joy: And he restoreth unto man his righteousness.

  15. He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: But with kings upon the throne He setteth them for ever, and they are exalted.

  16. But his delight is in the law of Jehovah; And on his law doth he meditate day and night.

  17. And he shall be like a tree planted by the streams of water, That bringeth forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also doth not wither; And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

  18. Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

  19. For Jehovah knoweth the way of the righteous; But the way of the wicked shall perish.

  20. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And put your trust in Jehovah.

  21. For thou wilt bless the righteous; O Jehovah, thou wilt compass him with favor as with a shield.

  22. Jehovah trieth the righteous; But the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

  23. For Jehovah is righteous; he loveth righteousness: The upright shall behold his face.

  24. They are all gone aside; they are together become filthy; There is none that doeth good, no, not one.

  25. Jehovah, who shall sojourn in thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
