And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite [is] better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the LORD had appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the LORD might bring evil upon Absalom.
And Absalom {H53} and all the men {H376} of Israel {H3478} said {H559}, The counsel {H6098} of Hushai {H2365} the Archite {H757} is better {H2896} than the counsel {H6098} of Ahithophel {H302}. For the LORD {H3068} had appointed {H6680} to defeat {H6565} the good {H2896} counsel {H6098} of Ahithophel {H302}, to the intent {H5668} that the LORD {H3068} might bring {H935} evil {H7451} upon Absalom {H53}.
Avshalom and all the men of Isra'el said, "The advice of Hushai the Arki is better than the advice of Achitofel"- for ADONAI had determined to frustrate the good advice of Achitofel, so that ADONAI could bring disaster on Avshalom.
Then Absalom and all the men of Israel said, “The advice of Hushai the Archite is better than that of Ahithophel.” For the LORD had purposed to thwart the good counsel of Ahithophel in order to bring disaster on Absalom.
And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For Jehovah had ordained to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that Jehovah might bring evil upon Absalom.
