  1. Then saith Jesus to them, `Fear ye not, go away, tell to my brethren that they may go away to Galilee, and there they shall see me.'

  2. for they all saw him, and were troubled, and immediately he spake with them, and saith to them, `Take courage, I am he , be not afraid.'

  3. and at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a great voice, saying, `Eloi, Eloi, lamma sabachthani?' which is, being interpreted, `My God, my God, why didst Thou forsake me?'

  7. And the Lord having seen her, was moved with compassion towards her, and said to her, `Be not weeping;'

  8. `Are not five sparrows sold for two assars? and one of them is not forgotten before God,

  9. but even the hairs of your head have been all numbered; therefore fear ye not, than many sparrows ye are of more value.

  10. And he spake also a simile to them, that it behoveth us always to pray, and not to faint,

  11. and a hair out of your head shall not perish;

  12. `Let not your heart be troubled, believe in God, also in me believe;

  13. and I will ask the Father, and another Comforter He will give to you, that he may remain with you--to the age;

  14. `I will not leave you bereaved, I come unto you;

  15. `Peace I leave to you; my peace I give to you, not according as the world doth give do I give to you; let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid;

  16. if the world doth hate you, ye know that it hath hated me before you;

  17. `Remember the word that I said to you, A servant is not greater than his lord; if me they did persecute, you also they will persecute; if my word they did keep, yours also they will keep;

  18. verily, verily, I say to you, that ye shall weep and lament, and the world will rejoice; and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow joy will become.

  19. `And ye, therefore, now, indeed, have sorrow; and again I will see you, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no one doth take from you,

  20. these things I have spoken to you, that in me ye may have peace, in the world ye shall have tribulation, but take courage--I have overcome the world.'

  21. Peter, therefore, indeed, was kept in the prison, and fervent prayer was being made by the assembly unto God for him,

  22. And on the following night, the Lord having stood by him, said, `Take courage, Paul, for as thou didst fully testify the things concerning me at Jerusalem, so it behoveth thee also at Rome to testify.'

  23. And not only so , but we also boast in the tribulations, knowing that the tribulation doth work endurance;

  24. and the endurance, experience; and the experience, hope;

  25. and if children, also heirs, heirs, indeed, of God, and heirs together of Christ--if, indeed, we suffer together, that we may also be glorified together.
