  1. So shall they fear the LORD’s name from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come as a rushing stream, which the breath of the LORD drives.

  13. When he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four squads of four soldiers each to guard him, intending to bring him out to the people after the Passover.

  14. Peter therefore was kept in the prison, but constant prayer was made by the assembly to God for him.

  15. The same night when Herod was about to bring him out, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains. Guards in front of the door kept the prison.

  16. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side, and woke him up, saying, “Stand up quickly!” His chains fell off from his hands.

  17. for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many people in this city.”

  19. No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

  20. He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Messiah may rest on me.

  21. May the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

  23. But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you, and guard you from the evil one.

  24. But the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me, that through me the message might be fully proclaimed, and that all the Gentiles might hear; and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

  25. who by the power of God are guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
