  1. Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, Jacob the son of Zebedee, and Yochanan his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them.

  2. Now the names of the twelve emissaries are these. The first, Simon, who is called Peter; Andrew, his brother; Jacob the son of Zebedee; Yochanan, his brother;

  3. After six days, Yeshua took with him Peter, Jacob, and Yochanan his brother, and brought them up into a high mountain by themselves.

  4. Going on a little further from there, he saw Jacob the son of Zebedee, and Yochanan, his brother, who were also in the boat mending the nets.

  5. Immediately, when they had come out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with Jacob and Yochanan.

  6. Jacob the son of Zebedee; Yochanan, the brother of Jacob, and he called them Benei-Regesh, which means, Sons of Thunder;

  7. He allowed no one to follow him, except Peter, Jacob, and Yochanan the brother of Jacob.

  8. After six days Yeshua took with him Peter, Jacob, and Yochanan, and brought them up onto a high mountain privately by themselves, and he was changed into another form in front of them.

  9. Yochanan said to him, “Rabbi, we saw someone who doesn’t follow us casting out demons in your name; and we forbade him, because he doesn’t follow us.”

  10. Jacob and Yochanan, the sons of Zebedee, came near to him, saying, “Rabbi, we want you to do for us whatever we will ask.”

  11. When the ten heard it, they began to be indignant towards Jacob and Yochanan.

  12. As he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, Jacob, Yochanan, and Andrew asked him privately,

  13. He took with him Peter, Jacob, and Yochanan, and began to be greatly troubled and distressed.

  14. and so also were Jacob and Yochanan, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. Yeshua said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid. From now on you will be catching people alive.”

  15. Simon, whom he also named Peter; Andrew, his brother; Jacob; Yochanan; Philip; Bartholomew;

  16. When he came to the house, he didn’t allow anyone to enter in, except Peter, Yochanan, Jacob, the father of the child, and her mother.

  17. About eight days after these sayings, he took with him Peter, Yochanan, and Jacob, and went up onto the mountain to pray.

  18. Yochanan answered, “Master, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we forbade him, because he doesn’t follow with us.”

  19. When his disciples, Jacob and Yochanan, saw this, they said, “Lord, do you want us to command fire to come down from the sky, and destroy them, just as Elijah did?”

  20. He sent Peter and Yochanan, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat.”

  21. When they had come in, they went up into the upper room, where they were staying; that is Peter, Yochanan, Jacob, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, Jacob the son of Halfai, Simon the Zealot, and Judah the son of Jacob.

  22. Peter and Yochanan were going up into the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.

  23. Seeing Peter and Yochanan about to go into the temple, he asked to receive gifts for the needy.

  24. Peter, fastening his eyes on him, with Yochanan, said, “Look at us.”

  25. As the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and Yochanan, all the people ran together to them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.
