¶ A Psalm or Song for the sabbath day. It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:
Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
¶ O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
¶ Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

¶ First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
