For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.

He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.

He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.

And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.

There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.

His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.

¶ A divine sentence is in the lips of the king: his mouth transgresseth not in judgment.

¶ It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.

¶ Righteous lips are the delight of kings; and they love him that speaketh right.

¶ Excellent speech becometh not a fool: much less do lying lips a prince.

¶ The king's wrath is as the roaring of a lion; but his favour is as dew upon the grass.

¶ A king that sitteth in the throne of judgment scattereth away all evil with his eyes.

¶ A wise king scattereth the wicked, and bringeth the wheel over them.

¶ Mercy and truth preserve the king: and his throne is upholden by mercy.

¶ The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

¶ These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment.

He that saith unto the wicked, Thou art righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him:

But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them.

Every man shall kiss his lips that giveth a right answer.

¶ It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.

The heaven for height, and the earth for depth, and the heart of kings is unsearchable.

Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.

¶ For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged.

¶ The prince that wanteth understanding is also a great oppressor: but he that hateth covetousness shall prolong his days.

¶ When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
