  1. And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

  2. And thou shalt say to the rebellious, even to the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; O ye house of Israel, let it suffice you of all your abominations,

  10. And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled.

  11. And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some.

  12. Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son.

  13. But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours.

  14. And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.

  15. If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.

  16. Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.

  17. ¶ For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

  18. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.

  19. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.

  20. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

  21. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

  22. Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

  23. Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
