  1. Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have.

  10. Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)

  11. Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.

  12. For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;

  13. Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;

  14. Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.

  15. Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.

  16. For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.

  17. Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

  18. That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

  19. Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

  20. ¶ What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

  21. If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

  22. And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

  23. But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

  24. My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
