  1. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

  2. For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

  3. Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

  4. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

  5. When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

  6. Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

  7. And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

  8. And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.

  9. And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:

  10. For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

  11. And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?

  12. He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.

  13. Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

  14. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

  15. ¶ Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.

  16. Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

  17. And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.

  18. ¶ Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;

  19. How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

  20. For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves;

  21. Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

  22. And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

  23. ¶ Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.

  24. I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.

  25. For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
