  1. I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

  2. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

  3. Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

  4. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

  5. But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say,

  6. Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

  7. But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.

  8. Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

  9. But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment, than for you.

  10. The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

  11. The men of Nineve shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

  12. For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

  13. Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.

  14. And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.

  15. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

  16. Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

  17. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:

  18. Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.

  19. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

  20. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

  21. And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.

  22. He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.

  23. And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

  24. But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.

  25. And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.
