  1. And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

  2. Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:

  3. So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.

  4. Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.

  5. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

  6. But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

  7. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

  8. For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.

  9. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

  10. Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

  11. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

  12. Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

  13. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

  14. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

  15. ¶ And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;

  16. When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.

  17. So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.

  18. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.

  19. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

  20. And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

  21. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

  22. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

  23. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

  24. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

  25. Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
