  1. And when ye came againe, ye wept before the Lord, but the Lord would not heare your voyce, nor incline his eares vnto you.

  2. But the Lord was angrie with me for your sakes, and would not heare me: and the Lord said vnto me, Let it suffice thee, speake no more vnto me of this matter.

  14. The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination to the Lord: but the prayer of the righteous is acceptable vnto him.

  15. The Lord is farre off from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.

  16. He that stoppeth his eare at the crying of the poore, he shall also cry and not be heard.

  17. The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination: how much more when he bringeth it with a wicked minde?

  18. He that turneth away his eare from hearing the Law, euen his prayer shalbe abominable.

  19. And when you shall stretch out your hands, I wil hide mine eyes from you: and though ye make many prayers, I wil not heare: for your hands are full of blood.

  20. I haue not spoken in secrete, neither in a place of darkenes in the earth: I saide not in vaine vnto the seede of Iaakob, Seeke you me: I the Lord doe speake righteousnesse, and declare righteous things.

  21. But your iniquities haue separated betweene you and your God, and your sinnes haue hidde his face from you, that he will not heare.

  22. Therefore thus sayth the Lord, Beholde, I will bring a plague vpon them, which they shall not be able to escape, and though they crye vnto me, I will not heare them.

  23. When they fast, I will not heare their cry, and when they offer burnt offering, and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sworde, and by the famine and by the pestilence.

  24. Then sayde the Lord vnto me, Though Moses and Samuel stoode before mee, yet mine affection coulde not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them depart.

  25. I will scatter them with an East winde before the enemie: I will shewe them the backe, and not the face in the day of their destruction.
