  1. Therefore the Lord saide, My Spirit shall not alway striue with man, because he is but flesh, and his dayes shalbe an hundreth and twentie yeeres.

  2. Now the men of Sodom were wicked and exceeding sinners against the Lord.

  10. For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the vines of Gomorah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters be bitter.

  11. Their wine is the poyson of dragons, and the cruel gall of aspes.

  12. The Lord be iudge betweene thee and me, and the Lord auenge me of thee, and let not mine hand be vpon thee.

  13. They looked about, but there was none to saue them, euen vnto the Lord, but he answered them not.

  14. And Ahab sayd to Eliiah, Hast thou found mee, O mine enemie? And he answered, I haue found thee: for thou hast solde thy selfe to worke wickednes in the sight of the Lord.

  15. And the King of Israel said vnto Iehoshaphat, There is yet one man (Michaiah the sonne of Imlah) by whom we may aske counsel of the Lord, but I hate him: for he doeth not prophecie good vnto me, but euill. And Iehoshaphat sayd, Let not the King say so.

  19. Which thou hast commanded by thy seruants the Prophets, saying, The land whereunto ye go to possesse it, is an vncleane land, because of the filthines of the people of the lands, which by their abominations, and by their vncleannes haue filled it from corner to corner.

  20. I haue seene the foolish well rooted, and suddenly I cursed his habitation, saying,

  21. His children shalbe farre from saluation, and they shall be destroyed in the gate, and none shall deliuer them.

  22. The hungrie shall eate vp his haruest: yea, they shall take it from among the thornes, and the thirstie shall drinke vp their substance.

  23. So are the paths of al that forget God, and the hypocrites hope shall perish.

  24. His confidence also shalbe cut off, and his trust shalbe as the house of a spyder.

  25. He shall leane vpon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall holde him fast by it, yet shall it not endure.
