  1. God said againe, Let the waters vnder the heauen be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appeare. and it was so.

  2. And God called the dry land, Earth, and he called the gathering together of the waters, Seas: and God saw that it was good.

  3. He hath set bounds about the waters, vntil the day and night come to an ende.

  4. Or who hath shut vp the Sea with doores, when it yssued and came foorth as out of the wombe:

  5. He gathereth the waters of the sea together as vpon an heape, and layeth vp the depths in his treasures.

  9. Feare ye not me, saith the Lord? or will ye not be afraide at my presence, which haue placed the sand for the bounds of the sea by the perpetuall decree that it cannot passe it, and though the waues thereof rage, yet can they not preuaile, though they roare, yet can they not passe ouer it?

  10. And beholde, there arose a great tempest in the sea, so that the ship was couered with waues: but he was a sleepe.

  11. Then his disciples came, and awoke him, saying, Master, saue vs: we perish.

  12. And he said vnto them, Why are ye fearefull, O ye of litle faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea: and so there was a great calme.

  13. And in the fourth watch of the night, Iesus went vnto them, walking on the sea.

  14. And when his disciples sawe him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit, and cried out for feare.

  15. But straight way Iesus spake vnto them, saying, Be of good comfort, It is I: be not afraide.

  16. Then Peter answered him, and saide, Master, if it be thou, bid me come vnto thee on the water.

  17. And he saide, Come. And when Peter was come downe out of the shippe, he walked on the water, to goe to Iesus.

  18. But when he sawe a mightie winde, he was afraide: and as he began to sinke, he cried, saying, Master, saue me.

  19. So immediatly Iesus stretched foorth his hande, and caught him, and saide to him, O thou of litle faith, wherefore diddest thou doubt?

  20. And there arose a great storme of winde, and the waues dashed into the shippe, so that it was now full.

  21. And he was in the sterne asleepe on a pillow: and they awoke him, and saide to him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?

  22. And hee rose vp, and rebuked the winde, and saide vnto the sea, Peace, and be still. So the winde ceased, and it was a great calme.

  23. And the sea gaue vp her dead, which were in her, and death and hell deliuered vp the dead, which were in them: and they were iudged euery man according to their woorkes.
