Bible Verses About Sea

God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered together into one place, and let dry land appear,” and that is how it was.

God called the dry land Earth, the gathering together of the water he called Seas, and God saw that it was good.

He fixed a circle on the surface of the water, defining the boundary between light and dark.

"Who shut up the sea behind closed doors when it gushed forth from the womb,

He collects the sea waters together in a heap; he puts the deeps in storehouses.

The sea is his - he made it -and his hands shaped the dry land.

Praise him, highest heaven, and waters above the heavens!

Let them praise the name of ADONAI; for he commanded, and they were created.

Don't you fear me? - says ADONAI. Won't you tremble at my presence? I made the shore the limit for the sea; by eternal decree it cannot pass. Its waves may toss, but to no avail; although they roar, they cannot cross it.

Then, without warning, a furious storm arose on the lake, so that waves were sweeping over the boat. But Yeshua was sleeping.

So they came and roused him, saying, "Sir! Help! We're about to die!"

He said to them, "Why are you afraid? So little trust you have!" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and there was a dead calm.

Around four o'clock in the morning, he came toward them, walking on the lake!

When the talmidim saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. "It's a ghost!" they said and screamed with fear.

But at once Yeshua spoke to them. "Courage," he said, "it is I. Stop being afraid."

Then Kefa called to him, "Lord, if it is really you, tell me to come to you on the water."

"Come!" he said. So Kefa got out of the boat and walked on the water toward Yeshua.

But when he saw the wind, he became afraid; and as he began to sink, he yelled, "Lord! Save me!"

Yeshua immediately stretched out his hand, took hold of him, and said to him, "Such little trust! Why did you doubt?"

A furious windstorm arose, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was close to being swamped.

But he was in the stern on a cushion, asleep. They woke him and said to him, "Rabbi, doesn't it matter to you that we're about to be killed?"

He awoke, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" The wind subsided, and there was a dead calm.

The sea gave up the dead in it; and Death and Sh’ol gave up the dead in them; and they were judged, each according to what he had done.
