  1. The wordes of the Lord are pure wordes, as the siluer, tried in a fornace of earth, fined seuen folde.

  2. The statutes of the Lord are right and reioyce the heart: the commandement of the Lord is pure, and giueth light vnto the eyes.

  3. Who shall ascende into the mountaine of the Lord? and who shall stand in his holy place?

  12. There is a generation that are pure in their owne conceite, and yet are not washed from their filthinesse.

  13. Come nowe, and let vs reason together, sayth the Lord: though your sinnes were as crimsin, they shalbe made white as snowe: though they were red like skarlet, they shalbe as wooll.

  14. Then I will turne mine hand vpon thee, and burne out thy drosse, till it be pure, and take away all thy tinne.

  15. And he touched my mouth, and sayd, Loe, this hath touched thy lips, and thine iniquitie shall be taken away, and thy sinne shalbe purged.

  16. Many shalbe purified, made white, and tried: but the wicked shall doe wickedly, and none of the wicked shall haue vnderstanding: but the wise shall vnderstand.

  17. Shall I iustifie the wicked balances, and the bag of deceitfull weightes?

  18. But who may abide the day of his comming? and who shall endure, when he appeareth? for he is like a purging fire, and like fullers sope.

  19. And he shall sit downe to trye and fine the siluer: he shall euen fine the sonnes of Leui and purifie them as golde and siluer, that they may bring offerings vnto the Lord in righteousnesse.

  20. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

  21. Euery branch that beareth not fruite in me, he taketh away: and euery one that beareth fruite, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruite.

  22. Furthermore, brethre, whatsoeuer things are true, whatsoeuer things are honest, whatsoeuer thinges are iust, whatsoeuer thinges are pure, whatsoeuer thinges are worthie loue, whatsoeuer things are of good report, if there be any vertue, or if there be any praise, thinke on these things,

  23. For the end of the commandement is loue out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith vnfained.

  24. Hauing the mysterie of the faith in pure conscience.

  25. Lay handes suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other mens sinnes: keepe thy selfe pure.
