  1. Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desires of women, nor care for any God: for he shall magnifie himselfe aboue all.

  2. Now therefore heare thou the word of the Lord. Thou sayest, Prophecie not against Israel, and speake nothing against the house of Izhak.

  3. Therefore thus sayth the Lord, Thy wife shall be an harlot in the citie, and thy sonnes and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be deuided by line: and thou shalt die in a polluted land, and Israel shall surely go into captiuitie forth of his land.

  4. Your wordes haue bene stout against me, sayeth the Lord: yet ye say, What haue we spoken against thee?

  5. Ye haue saide, It is in vaine to serue God: and what profite is it that we haue kept his commandement, and that we walked humbly before the Lord of hostes?

  6. Then he which had receiued the one talent, came, and said, Master, I knewe that thou wast an hard man, which reapest where thou sowedst not, and gatherest where thou strawedst not:

  7. I was therefore afraide, and went, and hid thy talent in the earth: behold, thou hast thine owne.

  8. And his master answered, and said vnto him, Thou euill seruant, and slouthfull, thou knewest that I reape where I sowed not, and gather where I strawed not.

  9. Thou oughtest therefore to haue put my money to ye exchangers, and then at my comming should I haue receiued mine owne with vantage.

  10. And they that passed by, reuiled him, wagging their heades,

  11. And saying, Thou that destroyest ye Temple, and buildest it in three dayes, saue thy selfe: if thou be ye Sonne of God, come downe from ye crosse.

  12. Likewise also the hie Priests mocking him, with the Scribes, and Elders, and Pharises, said,

  13. He saued others, but he cannot saue him selfe: if he be ye King of Israel, let him now come downe from ye crosse, and we will beleeue in him.

  14. He trusted in God, let him deliuer him nowe, if he will haue him: for he saide, I am the Sonne of God.

  15. The selfe same thing also ye theeues which were crucified with him, cast in his teeth.

  16. But, O man, who art thou which pleadest against God? shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?

  17. Hath not the potter power of the clay to make of the same lumpe one vessell to honour, and another vnto dishonour?

  18. This first vnderstande, that there shall come in the last dayes, mockers, which wil walke after their lustes,

  19. And say, Where is the promise of his comming? for since the fathers died, all things continue alike from the beginning of the creation.

  20. For this they willingly know not, that the heauens were of olde, and the earth that was of the water and by the water, by the word of God.

  21. How that they told you that there should be mockers in ye last time, which should walke after their owne vngodly lustes.

  22. These are they that separate them selues from other, naturall, hauing not the Spirit.
