  1. For what man knoweth the things of a man, saue the spirite of a man, which is in him? euen so the things of God knoweth no man, but the spirit of God.

  2. Nowe we haue receiued not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit, which is of God, that we might knowe the thinges that are giuen to vs of God.

  3. Which things also we speake, not in the woordes which mans wisedome teacheth, but which the holy Ghost teacheth, comparing spirituall things with spirituall things.

  4. But the naturall man perceiueth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishnesse vnto him: neither can hee knowe them, because they are spiritually discerned.

  5. Wherefore, I declare vnto you, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Iesus execrable: also no man can say that Iesus is the Lord, but by the holy Ghost.

  6. Now there are diuersities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

  7. And there are diuersities of administrations, but the same Lord,

  8. And there are diuersities of operations, but God is the same which worketh all in all.

  9. But the manifestation of the Spirit is giuen to euery man, to profite withall.

  10. For to one is giuen by the Spirit the word of wisdome: and to an other the word of knowledge, by the same Spirit:

  11. And to another is giuen faith by the same Spirit: and to another the giftes of healing, by the same Spirit:

  12. And to another the operations of great workes: and to another, prophecie: and to another, the discerning of spirits: and to another, diuersities of tongues: and to another, the interpretation of tongues.

  13. And all these thinges worketh one and the selfe same Spirit, distributing to euery man seuerally as he will.

  14. Nowe the Lord is the Spirite, and where the Spirite of the Lord is, there is libertie.

  15. But we al behold as in a mirrour the glory of the Lord with open face, and are changed into the same image, from glorie to glorie, as by the Spirit of the Lord.

  16. But in all things we approue our selues as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

  17. In stripes, in prisons, in tumults, in labours,

  18. By watchings, by fastings, by puritie, by knowledge, by long suffering, by kindnesse, by the holy Ghost, by loue vnfained,

  19. This only would I learne of you, Receiued ye the Spirit by the workes of the Lawe, or by the hearing of faith preached?

  20. Are ye so foolish, that after ye haue begun in the Spirit, ye would now be made perfect by the flesh?

  21. Then I say, Walke in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lustes of the flesh.

  22. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary one to another, so that ye can not doe the same things that ye would.

  23. And if ye be led by the Spirit, ye are not vnder the Lawe.

  24. But the fruite of the Spirit is loue, ioye, peace, long suffering, gentlenes, goodnes, fayth,

  25. Meekenesse, temperancie: against such there is no lawe.
