  1. Tribulation and anguish upon every soul of man that worketh evil: of the Jew first, and also of the Greek.

  2. But glory and honour and peace to every one that worketh good: to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

  15. That is to say, not they that are the children of the flesh are the children of God: but they that are the children of the promise are accounted for the seed.

  16. As it is written: Jacob I have loved: but Esau I have hated.

  17. But with most of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the desert.

  18. Now all these things happened to them in figure: and they are written for our correction, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

  19. And you, when you were dead in your offences and sins,

  20. Wherein in time past you walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of this air, of the spirit that now worketh on the children of unbelief:

  21. In which also we all conversed in time past, in the desires of our flesh, fulfilling the will of the flesh and of our thoughts, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest:

  22. That you were at that time without Christ, being aliens from the conversation of Israel and strangers to the testament, having no hope of the promise and without God in this world.

  23. But now in Christ Jesus, you, who some time were afar off, are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

  24. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and breaking down the middle wall of partition, the enmities in his flesh:

  25. This then I say and testify in the Lord: That henceforward you walk not as also the Gentiles walk in the vanity of their mind:
