But in all things let us exhibit ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in tribulation, in necessities, in distresses,
That in much experience of tribulation, they have had abundance of joy and their very deep poverty hath abounded unto the riches of their simplicity.
For according to their power (I bear them witness) and beyond their power, they were willing:
Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers be transformed as the ministers of justice, whose end shall be according to their works.
Of which I am made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God, which is given to me according to the operation of his power.
And he gave some apostles, and some prophets, and other some evangelists, and other some pastors and doctors:
Paul and Timothy, the servants of Jesus Christ: to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons.
But I have thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother and fellow labourer and fellow soldier, but your apostle: and he that hath ministered to my wants.
If so ye continue in the faith, grounded and settled, and immoveable from the hope of the gospel which you have heard, which is preached in all the creation that is under heaven: whereof I Paul am made a minister.
Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you and fill up those things that are wanting of the sufferings of Christ, in my flesh, for his body, which is the church:
Whereof I am made a minister according to the dispensation of God, which is given me towards you, that I may fulfil the word of God:
But having suffered many things before and been shamefully treated, (as you know) at Philippi, we had confidence in our God, to speak unto you the gospel of God in much carefulness.
Whereunto I am appointed a preacher and an apostle (I say the truth, I lie not), a doctor of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
A faithful saying: If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth good work.
Deacons in like manner: chaste, not double tongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre:
Let the priests that rule well be esteemed worthy of double honour: especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
Labour as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
But the servant of the Lord must not wrangle: but be mild toward all men, apt to teach, patient,
But be thou vigilant, labour in all things, do the work of an evangelist, fulfil thy ministry. Be sober.
Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of the elect of God and the acknowledging of the truth, which is according to godliness:
For a bishop must be without crime, as the steward of God: not proud, not subject to anger, nor given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre:
Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy, a brother: to Philemon, our beloved and fellow labourer,
James, the servant of God and of our Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
As every man hath received grace, ministering the same one to another: as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
The ancients therefore that are among you, I beseech who am myself also an ancient and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as also a partaker of that glory which is to be revealed in time to come:
