  1. But they constrained him, saying: Stay with us, because it is towards evening and the day is now far spent. And he went in with them.

  2. And it came to pass, whilst he was at table with them, he took bread and blessed and brake and gave to them.

  3. And their eyes were opened: and they knew him. And he vanished out of their sight.

  13. Jesus answered and said to them: Destroy this temple; and in three days I will raise it up.

  14. The Jews then said: Six and forty years was this temple in building; and wilt thou raise it up in three days?

  15. But he spoke of the temple of his body.

  16. When therefore he was risen again from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this: and they believed the scripture and the word that Jesus had said.

  17. No man taketh it away from me: but I lay it down of myself. And I have power to lay it down: and I have power to take it up again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

  18. For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.

  19. Mary Magdalen cometh and telleth the disciples: I have seen the Lord; and these things he said to me.

  20. Now when it was late the same day, the first of the week, and the doors were shut, where the disciples were gathered together, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst and said to them: Peace be to you.

  21. And when he had said this, he shewed them his hands and his side. The disciples therefore were glad, when they saw the Lord.

  22. Now Thomas, one of the twelve, who is called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

  23. And after eight days, again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them. Jesus cometh, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst and said: Peace be to you.

  24. Then he said to Thomas: Put in thy finger hither and see my hands. And bring hither the hand and put it into my side. And be not faithless, but believing.

  25. After this, Jesus shewed himself to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias. And he shewed himself after this manner.
