  1. Who also hath sealed us and given the pledge of the Spirit in our hearts.

  11. But doing the truth in charity, we may in all things grow up in him who is the head, even Christ:

  12. From whom the whole body, being compacted and fitly joined together, by what every joint supplieth, according to the operation in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body, unto the edifying of itself in charity.

  13. Be ye not therefore partakers with them.

  14. For you were heretofore darkness, but now light in the Lord. Walk then as children of the light.

  15. For the fruit of the light is in all goodness and justice and truth:

  16. Husbands, love your wives, as Christ also loved the church and delivered himself up for it:

  17. That he might sanctify it, cleansing it by the laver of water in the word of life:

  18. That he might present it to himself, a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

  19. In whom also you are circumcised with circumcision not made by hand in despoiling of the body of the flesh: but in the circumcision of Christ.

  20. For the rest therefore, brethren, pray and beseech you in the Lord Jesus that, as you have received from us, how you ought to walk and to please God, so also you would walk, that you may abound the more.

  21. For this is the will of God, your sanctification: That you should abstain from fornication:

  22. That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour,

  23. And may the God of peace himself sanctify you in all things: that your whole spirit and soul and body may be preserved blameless in the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  24. Whereunto also he hath called you by our gospel, unto the purchasing of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  25. Therefore, brethren, stand fast: and hold the traditions, which you have learned, whether by word or by our epistle.
