  1. And he blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

  2. Sanctify unto me every firstborn that openeth the womb among the children of Israel, as well of men as of beasts: for they are all mine.

  10. And thou shalt take the oil of unction and anoint the tabernacle with its vessels, that they may be sanctified:

  11. The altar of holocaust and all its vessels:

  12. The laver with its foot: thou shalt consecrate all with the oil of unction, that they may be most holy.

  13. And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the tabernacle of the testimony, and having washed them with water,

  14. Thou shalt put on them the holy vestments, that they may minister to me, and that the unction of them may prosper to an everlasting priesthood.

  15. And Moses did all that the Lord had commanded.

  16. So in the first month of the second year, the first day of the month, the tabernacle was set up.

  17. If at any time the cloud removed from the tabernacle, the children of Israel went forward by their troops:

  18. If it hung over, they remained in the same place.

  19. Keep my precepts, and do them. I am the Lord that sanctify you.

  20. The Lord said also to Moses: Speak to the priests the sons of Aaron, and thou shalt say for them: Let not a priest incur an uncleanness at the death of his citizens.

  21. But only for his kin, such as are near in blood: that is to say, for his father and for his mother, and for his son, and for his daughter, for his brother also:

  22. And for a maiden sister, who hath had no husband.

  23. But not even for the prince of his people shall he do any thing that may make him unclean.

  24. Neither shall they shave their head, nor their beard, nor make incisions in their flesh.

  25. They shall be holy to their God, and shall not profane his name. For they offer the burnt offering of the Lord, and the bread of their God: and therefore they shall be holy.
