Embracing that faithful word which is according to doctrine, that he may be able to exhort in sound doctrine and to convince the gainsayers.
For there are also many disobedient, vain talkers and seducers: especially they who are of the circumcision.
Who must be reproved, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.
This testimony is true. Wherefore, rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith:
These things speak and exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
Neither doth any man take the honour to himself, but he that is called by God, as Aaron was.
Remember your prelates who have spoken the word of God to you: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation,
Obey your prelates and be subject to them. For they watch as being to render an account of your souls: that they may do this with joy and not with grief. For this is not expedient for you.
Pray for us. For we trust we have a good conscience, being willing to behave ourselves well in all things.
If any man speak, let him speak, as the words of God. If any minister, let him do it, as of the power which God administereth: that in all things God may be honoured through Jesus Christ: to whom is glory and empire for ever and ever. Amen.
Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking care of it, not by constraint but willingly, according to God: not for filthy lucre's sake but voluntarily:
Neither as lording it over the clergy but being made a pattern of the flock from the heart.
And when the prince of pastors shall appear, you shall receive a never fading crown of glory.
