  1. Jesus answered and said to him: Amen, amen, I say to thee, unless a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

  13. Now if I do that which I will not, it is no more I that do it: but sin that dwelleth in me.

  14. I find then a law, that when I have a will to do good, evil is present with me.

  15. For I am delighted with the law of God, according to the inward man:

  16. But I see another law in my members, fighting against the law of my mind and captivating me in the law of sin that is in my members.

  17. Unhappy man that I am, who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

  18. The grace of God, by Jesus Christ our Lord. Therefore, I myself, with the mind serve the law of God: but with the flesh, the law of sin.

  19. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God, in the face of Christ Jesus.

  20. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency may be of the power of God and not of us.

  21. For we know, if our earthly house of this habitation be dissolved, that we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in heaven.

  22. For in this also we groan, desiring to be clothed upon with our habitation that is from heaven.

  23. Yet so that we be found clothed, not naked.

  24. For we also, who are in this tabernacle, do groan, being burthened; because we would not be unclothed, but clothed upon, that that which is mortal may be swallowed up by life.

  25. Now he that maketh us for this very thing is God, who hath given us the pledge of the Spirit,
