  1. And Jesus said: Somebody hath touched me; for I know that virtue is gone out from me.

  2. And the woman seeing that she was not hid, came trembling and fell down before his feet and declared before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was immediately healed.

  3. But he said to her: Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole. Go thy way in peace.

  7. And all wept and mourned for her. But he said: Weep not. The maid is not dead, but sleepeth.

  8. And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead.

  9. But he taking her by the hand, cried out, saying: Maid, arise.

  10. And her spirit returned: and she arose immediately. And he bid them give her to eat.

  11. And her parents were astonished, whom he charged to tell no man what was done.

  12. And behold a man among the crowd cried out, saying: Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son, because he is my only one.

  13. And lo, a spirit seizeth him, and he suddenly crieth out, and he throweth him down and teareth him, so that he foameth; and bruising him, he hardly departeth from him.

  14. And I desired thy disciples to cast him out: and they could not.

  15. And Jesus, answering:, said: O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you and suffer you? Bring hither thy son.

  16. And as he was coming to him, the devil threw him down and tore him.

  17. And there entered a thought into them, which of them should be greater.

  18. But Jesus seeing the thoughts of their hearts, took a child and set him by him,

  19. And said to them: Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me; and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me. For he that is the lesser among you all, he is the greater.

  20. And they brought unto him also infants, that he might touch them. Which when the disciples saw, they rebuked them.

  21. But Jesus, calling them together, said: Suffer children to come to me and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

  22. He came again therefore into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain ruler, whose son was sick at Capharnaum.

  23. He having heard that Jesus was come from Judea into Galilee, sent to him and prayed him to come down and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.

  24. Jesus therefore said to him: Unless you see signs and wonders, you believe not.

  25. The ruler saith to him: Lord, come down before that my son die.
