  1. And he blessed them at that time, saying: In thee shall Israel be blessed, and it shall be said: God do to thee as to Ephraim, and as to Manasses. And he set Ephraim before Manasses.

  15. The children of Israel increased, and sprung up into multitudes, and growing exceedingly strong they filled the land.

  17. But the more they oppressed them, the more they were multiplied and increased.

  21. And the Lord looked upon the children of Israel, and he knew them.

  22. And he said: I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Moses hid his face: for he durst not look at God.

  23. For the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have seen their affliction, wherewith they are oppressed by the Egyptians.

  24. But come, and I will send thee to Pharao, that thou mayst bring forth my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.

  25. And Moses said to God: Who am I that I should go to Pharao, and should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?
