  21. Remember that whoever does good work, whether he be a slave or a free man, will be rewarded by the Lord.

  22. On the contrary, he emptied himself, in that he took the form of a slave by becoming like human beings are. And when he appeared as a human being,

  23. he humbled himself still more by becoming obedient even to death — death on a stake as a criminal!

  24. The new self allows no room for discriminating between Gentile and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, foreigner, savage, slave, free man; on the contrary, in all, the Messiah is everything.

  25. Slaves, obey your human masters in everything, not serving only when they are watching you, to win their favor, but single-heartedly, fearing the Lord.
