  1. And Jesus went about in all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of disease and all manner of sickness among the people.

  2. And the report of him went forth into all Syria: and they brought unto him all that were sick, holden with divers diseases and torments, possessed with demons, and epileptic, and palsied; and he healed them.

  11. And behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?

  12. Now there was afar off from them a herd of many swine feeding.

  13. And the demons besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, send us away into the herd of swine.

  14. And he said unto them, Go. And they came out, and went into the swine: and behold, the whole herd rushed down the steep into the sea, and perished in the waters.

  15. For which is easier, to say, Thy sins are forgiven; or to say, Arise, and walk?

  16. But that ye may know that the Son of man hath authority on earth to forgive sins (then saith he to the sick of the palsy), Arise, and take up thy bed, and go unto thy house.

  18. But when the multitudes saw it, they were afraid, and glorified God, who had given such authority unto men.

  23. But go ye and learn what this meaneth, I desire mercy, and not sacrifice: for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.

  24. While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.
