  1. But the king was wroth; and he sent his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned their city.

  2. Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they that were bidden were not worthy.

  3. Go ye therefore unto the partings of the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage feast.

  4. And those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was filled with guests.

  13. But Peter answered and said unto him, If all shall be offended in thee, I will never be offended.

  14. Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, that this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.

  20. And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and saith unto them that were there, This man also was with Jesus of Nazareth.

  21. And again he denied with an oath, I know not the man.

  22. And after a little while they that stood by came and said to Peter, Of a truth thou also art one of them; for thy speech maketh thee known.

  23. Then began he to curse and to swear, I know not the man. And straightway the cock crew.

  24. And Peter remembered the word which Jesus had said, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.

  25. Then Judas, who betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
