  1. I make a decree, that in all the dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel; for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, And his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed; and his dominion shall be even unto the end.

  15. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

  16. Even as it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

  17. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

  18. Now I make known unto you brethren, the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye received, wherein also ye stand,

  19. Wherefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not vain in the Lord.

  20. Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

  21. For freedom did Christ set us free: stand fast therefore, and be not entangled again in a yoke of bondage.

  22. Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ: that, whether I come and see you or be absent, I may hear of your state, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one soul striving for the faith of the gospel;

  23. Wherefore, my brethren beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my beloved.

  24. For though I am absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.

  25. rooted and builded up in him, and established in your faith, even as ye were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.
