  1. If any one sin, and commit a trespass against Jehovah, and deal falsely with his neighbor in a matter of deposit, or of bargain, or of robbery, or have oppressed his neighbor,

  2. or have found that which was lost, and deal falsely therein, and swear to a lie; in any of all these things that a man doeth, sinning therein;

  3. then it shall be, if he hath sinned, and is guilty, that he shall restore that which he took by robbery, or the thing which he hath gotten by oppression, or the deposit which was committed to him, or the lost thing which he found,

  4. or any thing about which he hath sworn falsely; he shall even restore it in full, and shall add the fifth part more thereto: unto him to whom it appertaineth shall he give it, in the day of his being found guilty.

  5. And he shall bring his trespass-offering unto Jehovah, a ram without blemish out of the flock, according to thy estimation, for a trespass-offering, unto the priest:

  6. and the priest shall make atonement for him before Jehovah; and he shall be forgiven concerning whatsoever he doeth so as to be guilty thereby.

  7. Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in measures of length, of weight, or of quantity.

  8. Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am Jehovah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.

  9. Thou shalt not have in thy bag diverse weights, a great and a small.

  10. Thou shalt not have in thy house diverse measures, a great and a small.

  11. A perfect and just weight shalt thou have; a perfect and just measure shalt thou have: that thy days may be long in the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee.

  12. For all that do such things, even all that do unrighteously, are an abomination unto Jehovah thy God.

  13. There are that remove the landmarks; They violently take away flocks, and feed them.

  14. They drive away the ass of the fatherless; They take the widow’s ox for a pledge.

  15. They turn the needy out of the way: The poor of the earth all hide themselves.

  16. Behold, as wild asses in the desert They go forth to their work, seeking diligently for food; The wildernessyieldeththem bread for their children.

  17. They cut their provender in the field; And they glean the vintage of the wicked.

  18. They lie all night naked without clothing, And have no covering in the cold.

  19. They are wet with the showers of the mountains, And embrace the rock for want of a shelter.

  20. There are that pluck the fatherless from the breast, And take a pledge of the poor;

  21. So thatthey go about naked without clothing, And being hungry they carry the sheaves.

  22. They make oil within the walls of these men; They treadtheirwinepresses, and suffer thirst.

  23. Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, When it is in the power of thy hand to do it.

  24. Say not unto thy neighbor, Go, and come again, And to-morrow I will give; When thou hast it by thee.

  25. Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.
