  1. and that He might make known the riches of His glory on vessels of kindness, that He before prepared for glory, whom also He did call--us--

  11. then, brethren, we are not a maid-servant's children, but the free-woman's.

  12. Then, therefore, ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow-citizens of the saints, and of the household of God,

  13. that the nations be fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of His promise in the Christ, through the good news,

  14. Become, then, followers of God, as children beloved,

  15. for ye were once darkness, and now light in the Lord; as children of light walk ye,

  16. because members we are of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones;

  17. not with eye-service as men-pleasers, but as servants of the Christ, doing the will of God out of soul,

  18. that ye may become blameless and harmless, children of God, unblemished in the midst of a generation crooked and perverse, among whom ye do appear as luminaries in the world,

  19. to the saints in Colossae, and to the faithful brethren in Christ: Grace to you, and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ!

  20. Put on, therefore, as choice ones of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humble-mindedness, meekness, long-suffering,

  21. all ye are sons of light, and sons of day; we are not of night, nor of darkness,

  22. I charge you by the Lord, that the letter be read to all the holy brethren;

  23. let no one despise thy youth, but a pattern become thou of those believing in word, in behaviour, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity;

  24. and thou, O man of God, these things flee, and pursue righteousness, piety, faith, love, endurance, meekness;

  25. if, then, any one may cleanse himself from these, he shall be a vessel to honour, sanctified and profitable to the master--to every good work having been prepared,
