  16. through him, then, we may offer up a sacrifice of praise always to God, that is, the fruit of lips, giving thanks to His name;

  18. for He who is saying, `Thou mayest not commit adultery,' said also, `Thou mayest do no murder;' and if thou shalt not commit adultery, and shalt commit murder, thou hast become a transgressor of law;

  19. and fulfilled was the Writing that is saying, `And Abraham did believe God, and it was reckoned to him--to righteousness;' and, `Friend of God' he was called.

  20. and greater grace he doth give, wherefore he saith, `God against proud ones doth set Himself up, and to lowly ones He doth give grace?'

  21. because it hath been written, `Become ye holy, because I am holy;'

  22. because all flesh is as grass, and all glory of man as flower of grass; wither did the grass, and the flower of it fell away,

  23. and the saying of the Lord doth remain--to the age; and this is the saying that was proclaimed good news to you.

  24. Wherefore, also, it is contained in the Writing: `Lo, I lay in Zion a chief corner-stone, choice, precious, and he who is believing on him may not be put to shame;'

  25. to you, then, who are believing is the preciousness; and to the unbelieving, a stone that the builders disapproved of, this one did become for the head of a corner,
