  1. And Moses saith unto Jehovah, `O, my Lord, I am not a man of words, either yesterday, or before, or since Thy speaking unto Thy servant, for I am slow of mouth, and slow of tongue.'

  10. And after the delivering up of John, Jesus came to Galilee, proclaiming the good news of the reign of God,

  11. and saying--`Fulfilled hath been the time, and the reign of God hath come nigh, reform ye, and believe in the good news.'

  12. and immediately many were gathered together, so that there was no more room, not even at the door, and he was speaking to them the word.

  13. And having folded the roll, having given it back to the officer, he sat down, and the eyes of all in the synagogue were gazing on him.

  14. and having entered into one of the boats, that was Simon's, he asked him to put back a little from the land, and having sat down, was teaching the multitudes out of the boat.

  15. And it came to pass thereafter, that he was going through every city and village, preaching and proclaiming good news of the reign of God, and the twelve are with him,

  16. In that hour was Jesus glad in the Spirit, and said, `I do confess to thee, Father, Lord of the heaven and of the earth, that Thou didst hide these things from wise men and understanding, and didst reveal them to babes; yes, Father, because so it became good pleasure before Thee.

  17. opening and alleging, `That the Christ it behoved to suffer, and to rise again out of the dead, and that this is the Christ--Jesus whom I proclaim to you.'

  18. For Christ did not send me to baptize, but--to proclaim good news; not in wisdom of discourse, that the cross of the Christ may not be made of none effect;

  19. for the word of the cross to those indeed perishing is foolishness, and to us--those being saved--it is the power of God,

  20. for, seeing in the wisdom of God the world through the wisdom knew not God, it did please God through the foolishness of the preaching to save those believing.

  21. also we--we preach Christ crucified, to Jews, indeed, a stumbling-block, and to Greeks foolishness,

  22. but the foolish things of the world did God choose, that the wise He may put to shame; and the weak things of the world did God choose that He may put to shame the strong;

  23. and the base things of the world, and the things despised did God choose, and the things that are not, that the things that are He may make useless--

  24. that no flesh may glory before Him;

  25. And I, having come unto you, brethren, came--not in superiority of discourse or wisdom--declaring to you the testimony of God,
