  8. `And I said, Who art thou, Lord? and he said, I am Jesus whom thou dost persecute;

  9. but rise, and stand upon thy feet, for for this I appeared to thee, to appoint thee an officer and a witness both of the things thou didst see, and of the things in which I will appear to thee,

  10. delivering thee from the people, and the nations, to whom now I send thee,

  11. to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light, and from the authority of the Adversary unto God, for their receiving forgiveness of sins, and a lot among those having been sanctified, by faith that is toward me.

  12. that the Christ is to suffer, whether first by a rising from the dead, he is about to proclaim light to the people and to the nations.'

  13. and having appointed him a day, they came, more of them unto him, to the lodging, to whom he was expounding, testifying fully the reign of God, persuading them also of the things concerning Jesus, both from the law of Moses, and the prophets, from morning till evening,

  14. preaching the reign of God, and teaching the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness--unforbidden.

  16. concerning His Son, (who is come of the seed of David according to the flesh,

  17. who is marked out Son of God in power, according to the Spirit of sanctification, by the rising again from the dead,) Jesus Christ our Lord;

  18. through whom we did receive grace and apostleship, for obedience of faith among all the nations, in behalf of his name;

  19. among whom are also ye, the called of Jesus Christ;

  20. to all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called saints; Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ!

  21. first, indeed, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is proclaimed in the whole world;

  22. for God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the good news of His Son, how unceasingly I make mention of you,

  23. for I am not ashamed of the good news of the Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation to every one who is believing, both to Jew first, and to Greek.

  24. for the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world, by the things made being understood, are plainly seen, both His eternal power and Godhead--to their being inexcusable;

  25. in the day when God shall judge the secrets of men, according to my good news, through Jesus Christ.
