  1. For I most certainly, as being absent in body but present in spirit, have already, as though I were present, judged him who has done this thing.

  11. No, but you yourselves do wrong, and defraud, and that against your brothers.

  12. But in giving you this command, I don’t praise you, that you come together not for the better but for the worse.

  13. For first of all, when you come together in the assembly, I hear that divisions exist among you, and I partly believe it.

  14. For there also must be factions among you, that those who are approved may be revealed among you.

  15. When therefore you assemble yourselves together, it is not the Lord’s supper that you eat.

  16. For in your eating each one takes his own supper first. One is hungry, and another is drunken.

  17. What, don’t you have houses to eat and to drink in? Or do you despise God’s assembly, and put them to shame who don’t have? What shall I tell you? Shall I praise you? In this I don’t praise you.

  18. But when Peter came to Antioch, I resisted him to his face, because he stood condemned.

  19. So then, have I become your enemy by telling you the truth?

  20. but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, Messiah;

  21. Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them.

  22. But all things, when they are reproved, are revealed by the light, for everything that reveals is light.

  23. that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without defect in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you are seen as lights in the world,

  24. Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not tiresome, but for you it is safe.

  25. We exhort you, brothers, admonish the disorderly, encourage the faint-hearted, support the weak, be patient toward all.
